Basic Information[]

“The Doomsclock Castle”, a place where there is an answer for every question ever asked, yet along with that answer there always comes another question. The Doomsclock Castle is a floating structure that is seemingly a compilation of hundreds of different styles of architecture; all from different eras thrown into one, though the highest structure of it all is a Clock Tower that resides on the time 11:56. The building’s caretaker, whom happens to be Father Time, has been sought after by numerous different Seekers and Scholars all in hopes of unraveling time old mysteries plaguing those whom reside within the Remnant Grid.

Geography[]

The Doomsclock Castle is a building floating in a space-like environment surrounded by what appears to be stars, shooting comets, and various lit up celestial bodies. Rather than being black, however, the spacey backdrop is more tinted with blues and purples, creating a deep and rich space like area that could be used for stargazing alone. The building itself floats perfectly surrounded by the space, various towers and buildings popping up at various points all of them appearing to have their own style of architecture and theme, however towering above the rest is a Big-Ben resembling Clock Tower that is said to count down the time until an ancient darkness that once plagued the old world returns. Currently the hands point to the time 11:56 while the second hand moves eternally in circuits, never moving the minute hand forward.

Various Locations exist within the Castle:

The Hallways[]

The most notable location, well, the most seen by visitors, are the Hallways that circle into a maze throughout the Castle. Few rooms truly exist in the building, the Hallways primarily dominating the entire place. Various doors seal corridors off while various other Hallways circle and twist up and down the Castle leading the knowledge-less travelers awry. These Hallway’s appearances vary depending on what part of the Castle the adventurer is in; some are stone, cold, and dimly lit while others are royal and extravagant though they all have one thing in common: clocks are found in nearly every corner. The ticking sound of every type of clock is perpetually heard no matter where the traveler is located. A fun fact is that every clock is frozen on 11:56, the second hand moving in circles though never changing the minute of the actual time.

Father Time’s Room[]

A small bedroom located high within one of the towers of the Castle is where Father Time resides. His room is circular in shape due to being within a tower with an immense wall-sized window revealing the blue and purple space background circling the Castle. A bed and a few dressers can be found in here, although nothing else except for a small bench next to the window where Father Time himself sits.

Prince of Time’s Hall[]

The largest room in the Castle is the Prince of Time’s Hall. The room’s furnishings are made out of blindingly white marble stone, the only piece of furniture is a large white thrown which resides in the center of the room. Sitting in this thrown is the perpetually bored Prince of Time, sitting in complete silence, his arm in his hand as he sits lightly tapping is foot in sequence with the constant ticking sounds of the scattered clocks.

The Time Records Library[]

A theorized library that exists somewhere deep within the Castle are the Time Records, its whereabouts only known by the Prince of Time. Nothing is known about its appearance though rumors say that this Library updates in real time without any writers or assistance, cataloging every thought and action made by every sentient being in the Grid. Due to the many uses this knowledge could have, many Scholars and greedy explorers have set out to find this Library.

Groups[]

The Caretakers[]

The people who manage the entire Doomsclock Castle entirely by themselves are known as The Caretakers. Yes, just two, which probably explains the state of disrepair of everything. Simply put, these two happen to be the most frequently sought after people to get a meeting with out of the entire Remnant Grid though few achieve this.

Travelers[]

The Travelers are the numerous amounts of adventurers seeking out thrill by entering this forlorn and mysterious castle. Frequently they search for Father Time, simply to say they did, though few actually make much progress through this maze.

Scholars[]

The Scholars often book trips in with the Travelers in hopes to actually make progress without endangering their safety. Many scholars and scientists flock to the Castle in search for its Library of Time Records which are said to have recorded everything from thoughts to actions of every living sentient being in the Remnant Grid. None have succeeded in finding the Records.

Characters (NPC Main)[]

Prince of Time[]

Group: Caretakers
Although one would assume Father Time to be the all-knowing near God-like being, many are surprised to find out that the Prince of Time is truly the one in charge of the Time Records and the upkeep of the Doomsclock Castle. The Prince has no name, and is widely known for his sarcastic and overly uninterested personality. He gives no welcoming words to the travelers who happen to find his Hall by either chance or purpose, though it is said he’ll answer questions on a certain condition if someone finds and asks.

Father Time[]

Group: Caretakers
The one and the only man granted with immortality: Father Time. Although granted immortality, he has certainly suffered Time’s cruelty. Due to age, Father of Time is currently faced with a severe case of Alzheimer’s that has greatly affected his abilities. In light of this, the Father’s son, The Prince of Time, has taken up the business of maintaining the Doomsclock Castle.
