“Lonely Island of the abyss, Archive of the Infinite- Lacuna Insula” While a very small and scarcely inhabited remnant, it is vast and populated for what it really is. It is all a single library built and shaped into the form of an island. There are many secrets hidden within its walls. Its resources are only second to the Wizard of the Clock Tower.
Geography[]
Surface While the entire remnant is actually a massive library, the top of it appears similarly to an island. The area is covered in sand and various tropical plants that are actually fake, if given inspection. There are several bookshelves scattered about on this level, seeming out of place. Deep into the false tropical environment is what appears to be a single story concrete building. However it is really an entrance to the inner library. The island area sits alone within a clearly seen endless nothingness. There is a checkout desk and a few shops in this area.
Inner Library A massive maze of catwalks, with bookshelves running along the sides, to keep people from falling over. Although it is somewhat of a maze, there are limited maps posted to help people find their way around and find the books they are looking for. This area seems to go on infinitely downward. Those that have chosen to try and explore the library in its entirety have either given up or not yet returned.
Groups[]
Librarians Well dressed and well mannered, the librarians maintain the library in its entirety. They keep track of all of the books, make sure everything is in order, help people that are lost, and execute thieves. It should be noted not to get on their bad side.
Bibliophiles Highly focused and studious, these people are usually found either looking for or reading books. Some are researching the mysteries of the remnant grid, others just enjoy a good book or two. For whatever the reason, several of these people are here and there for reading, this IS a library after all.
Explorers Those who wish to see just how far the library goes. For as far back as the remnant has existed, legends have told of how vast it is and how no one has ever explored the entire library. Because of this, explorers have always come to find places no one else has been to or to try and map the entire library.
Books Some rumors have spread about some of the books actually being alive. That the shelves will rearrange themselves or books will simply fly away like birds. There are even claims of book attacks. Remember to treat books with dignity and respect.
