Kyu had been watching the entire scene from the shadows. She watched as the snow demon's attack on the statue was blocked by a winged giant. She watched as the white-haired person appeared and shi and the giant went into discussion, before the demon attacked the giant, turning him into a phoenix and then small. She watched as the man blasted the demon back, before collapsing.
She knew she had to do something as the white-haired person and the demon clambered out of the pile of snow they'd landed in.
She knew that she had to do something if there was any hope of her escaping alive as the white-haired person walked towards her menacingly.
She reached for her flute at her belt and put it to her lips, before playing a tune. She played until her flute disappeared.
'Who do you think you are?' Shirayuki asked sternly, 'Stealing my student's flute?'
'I do not unerstand...' Kyu replied shakily.
...You have to fight...
Shirayuki thrust one of hir hands in the air. The demon behind hir tensed, ready to attack.
You have to fight!
Shirayuki clenched hir fist, and the demon jumped into the air.
DAMMIT YOU HAVE TO FIGHT!
As the demon swung its fist down on Kyukiitsu, a barrier of water materialised, deflecting the blow.
When I say to do something, for the love of Amorous DO IT!
'Who is that..?' Kyu asked, taking out her Abandoned Umbrella to shield herself from the rain the water barrier was making.
Me you idiot. YOU'RE HOLDING ME IN YOUR HAND!
Now lash out. You don't have your Weapon, so make do and mend. Attack with me!
Kyu closed the umbrella and held it like a jousting lance.
'GIMME BACK MY FLUTE!' she screeched, slashing out with her umbrella like a sword, 'That was a present from my brother, Lies! Give it back to me!'
The creature stepped back, dodging the slash, it then began tauntingly swinging the flute in front of Kyu's face. It seemed to be laughing as it did so. Kyu opened her umbrella and spun it around, sending a blast of water firing straight at the demon. The demon simply took the blast, holding its ground perfectly, once the attack was finished, the creature lashed out at Kyu with a heavy kick. Kyu's eyes glowed white as she fired a large blast of starbolt energy at the point of impact, holding her ground pretty well. The creature fell backwards due to being unbalanced through being only on one leg. The flute was flung very high in the air and flipped over several times. Kyu rushed to get it but was too slow. The person who caught it was neither Kyu nor Shirayuki nor the demon
'You should be careful with my flute, dumbass,' Suzaku growled, standing up slowly, 'It should stay with its current owner... Kyukiitsu (Kai-oh-kite-so), catch!'
He tossed the flute to Kyu, who caught it and began to play a painful yet melodic lullaby. The beast's eyes fluttered shut slowly, its ears unaffected by the dissonance of the tune. Weapons began materialising in the air, unbeknownst to the people battling just below.
Shirayuki hit the demon hard around the face, 'Wake up, you lazy idiot.'
Kyu lashed out in a flurry of her fists and also with her flute and umbrella, aiming for both Shirayuki and the demon. Shirayuki was flung backwards, unprepared for the attack, and landed in a pile of snow. The demon just kicked out after feeling a slight tickling sensation on its foot. It began to stand up slowly. Suddenly 92 Weapons slashed down at an amazing speed, impaling the demon in an almost omnidirectional manner.
'When the Bell Tolls,' Suzaku said in a level tone.
Blood spurted from most orifices of the creature until suddenly it vanished in a large pillar of light, dissipating both it and the Weapons. All that was left behind when the light vanished was an ofuda with the characters 雪鬼 written on it.
Suzaku strode over to where Shirayuki was and grabbed hir by the collar of hir kimono, hoisting hir out of the snow.
'I win,' he said, grinning evilly.
