Basic Information[]
A world scarred by wars and various cataclysmic events that changed the face of Jirus Nax each time. Various parts of the geography are well known for particular battles or climactic events that shaped the history of this Remnant. The world is full of many groups of people, many scattered across the shattered earth and some within the sky cities known as the Orus Jen. Those in the Orus are somewhat more peaceful than those on the ground, having retreated to the skies to escape the wars that had shattered the realm of Jirus Nax in the past. However, even that peaceful nature could not last long. Evil intent corrupts all souls in power it seems, as so even the Orus Jen find themselves warring amongst themselves with their weapons of the skies. Politically the world has become corrupt yet there are multiple cities in the ground, on the ground, and in the sky that still maintain a decent level of peace. Jirus Nax's history is full of heroes and villains alike, many events centering upon the massive volcano to the north in this world. Each time the world's face has changed, powerful occurrences went down at this mountain.
Geography[]
Arch-Orus Jen - Diavear: One of the most powerful cities in the sky and a powerful force in the Remnant. It is a massive city floating due to massive anti-gravity rings powered through a means known only by the higher-ups. It is where the single known door into the Remnant resides as the part of the land it was originally in was lifted with it. This city is where leaders of all of Jirus Nax met yearly. It has multiple skyscrapers and a massive center hall where all of the major stuff takes place. It is famous for its amazingly clean springs across the city as well as the magical academies around. Known as neutral ground to the ground and sky, Diavear floats at an altitude perfectly between the normal Orus Jen and the sky to symbolize this. Diavear is the pinnacle of this Remnant's technological advances.
Irien Mountains: The massive mountain range around the mountain Vorus. Its mountains are shattered in many places due to the massive conflicts centered around the historical volcano. Multiple tunnels weave throughout the mountain range of snowcapped mountains and it is said that a city of watchers lies here. A single river flows from an unknown point in this range, flowing into the south where the lake Chriel is. No one has gone into the mountain range for a long time, though there were a few that had been said to attempt to search it. They have yet to return, many of these groups having gone years ago. A large plain surround Vorus at the center of this mountain range; a massive piece of land that is eerily silent and full of grass and flowers.
Vorus: A powerful volcanic mountain that erupts every few years to coat the world in ashes holds a large amount of power within it. It is a magical area to many attuned to such an art, as somehow many elements are bound to this mountain. It is a strange sight as its peak and parts of it are covered in snow. The winds are extremely powerful at some points, and various springs can be found on the way up as the rock of the mountain is jagged and shattered in many places. Lava sits within the mountains center yet many have found empty chambers deep within where the molten rock have not touched. Unknown runic seals have been found in various areas and those mages who have visited have felt powerful magical and spiritual pressure beyond such seals.
Grield the Forest City: A city in the massive realm to the immediate southwest of the Irien mountain range. It is a major city of the ground and the center of much attention due to its multitude of sky-reaching towers. Elves and humans alike make their home here, but they are constantly alert about the other ground cities. There secrets are many and their magic a strange force. They are but one of many major groups that seek to unlock the secrets of Vorus. It is said that the hero Jiel was born and raised here, and multiple readings found in the city confirm it to be so. A single sword and longbow lay within a chamber deep within the forest, a place hidden from all but the guardians of such treasures and the other treasures Jiel held in his travels.
Lake Chriel and the city Bale: A massive lake of pristine water where an unusual amount of sea life is found. It is as if it this very lake was an ocean in terms of life, and no one has ever reached the bottom. Its circumference is immense the city of Bale makes its home around it. A massive amount of people visit Lake Chriel and Bale each day, some deciding to swim within the clear lake waters and others coming for trade between land and sky as well as land and land. The city Bale is also the known birthplace of the twin heroes Naia and Emily, though Naia did eventually fall into evil intent and caused a cataclysmic event herself. Bale is home to various academies of its own, mostly hybrids of combat and various other academic studies.
Revil the Sky Kingdom: A powerful city of the skies that wars constantly with the Orus Jen around it, mostly Loris and Malvel. Revil is home to many technological research facilities but still finds its focus around the magical and spiritual realms. Revil is the highest floating Orus Jen and is a marvel in itself. It holds many towards that reach high above it to touch the skies so that the city can watch everyone else. It is constantly prepared for battle and is nearly always waging war upon sky and land alike. It does not often join the assembly at Diavear when they come, but it does so eventually. Revil constantly wars for power and it is actually comprised of multiple Orus Jen it has conquered. Bridges of glass and other metals connect Revil to these once-separate floating cities and thus makes Revil the largest of all cities in Jirus Nax.
The Shattered Skies - Jirus: The skies that connect the Orus Jen are constantly full of white clouds. The blue sky is endless and full of various aerial creatures. Many with the right abilities or technology, which is abundant in this Remnant, pass their time here. This is the crossroads between all of the sky and where many conflicts are fought. Above Vorus the skies are ashen and the clouds are full of heat. These clouds have sometimes drifted outwards across the world and rained fire upon the ground below, Nax. There have been many reports of a mighty sky creature, dubbed by many as Flisa, that holds immense beauty and power. Other reports have been made about doors in the sky that seemed to never be found in the same place and disappear quickly; none have yet to make it past such an opening.
The Sundered Land - Nax: The world under Jirus, the immense land that connects the ground cities and other features of the Remnant. Various rivers and forest dot the land and many remnants of the past wars and calamities are still apparent. Many villages and cities still exist from ancient times, and many other warring kingdoms and cities are in this world. There are many things to be discovered in Nax, one merely has to search out and perhaps they shall find something interesting. Nax is generally lively with multiple forms of life, however many parts of it are forever shattered due to the shattering wars of past and present.
Groups[]
Diavearans: The neutral city of Diavear holds many people who seek to merely advance the technology and magic of Jirus Nax. They constantly research new methods and strive for a power source of unlimited power to solve quite many of their issues. Those of Diavear tend to be analytical and thus mostly scientists and magicians. Diavear prefers peace and seeks to be the mediator between the many conflicts.
Grieldens: The elves and humans of the forest city, Grield. They hold many secrets of nature and magic and guard their multiple skyward towers with magic and armed forces alike. They are mysterious mostly, yet friendly when their secrets are not involved. They do indeed venture out into the world, paying frequent visits to Bale and even heading to the skies with their own forces.
Revilians: The constantly expanding kingdom of Revil holds many who seek power. They constantly war with other cities in search of power and property. They welcome few outsiders unless they are being integrated into their society. Constant fighting occurs amongst the Revilians, but mostly for sport and the like within their coliseum at the city's center.
Coriel Organization: A group of assassins known throughout the land. Their base is unknown and their movements are rarely known. They are not only assassins, however, as they are also a massive intelligence group. If one knows how to contact them they can learn many many things. Speculation has it that they are accomplished in the art of elemental magic and thus tie Coriel to Vorus, though many deny such a possibility.
Riel Guild: A guild of mercenaries and other people who seek to unlock the secrets of history. They constantly seek out the secrets of the past and investigate every part of the world that they can when prompted. They hold many investigations and hire adventurers that pass through the Remnant if they desire so. The higher ups are said to be a part of Coriel due to the close naming of the two groups, but such accusations are denied always.
