Character Idol

"Write something here"? I get hired for an hour to do THIS junk? Oh, okay then. At least she provided music... Good evening everyone! You may have noticed that this page is entitled "Character Idol". What is Character Idol, you may ask? Well here at Archaic Twilight, we are fine with any sort of character from any sort of setting or background. However we encourage players to be as original as they can. This is in order to reduce the number of "Sasukebots" (lolsasukefails) and the like, as well as to allow players to freely create characters that they truly enjoy RPing. The point of this contest is actually for you, the players, to tell us what exactly you did with this encouragement and WHY you enjoy role-playing as your character. As for how you do this, well...

Submissions[]

Season 1[]

Submissions are fairly simple, and yet complex. Well, simple to explain but as complicated as you want them to be. All you need do is post a response to the Character Idol topic, one with 2 specific things in it. The first is a simple bio about the character you are entering. Tell us their back story, goals, motivations, personality, ect. If you don’t feel like writing much then a paragraph will do. The second thing is the hard part, for it is… whatever you want. As long as it is related to the character you can submit whatever it is you want; Art, music, stories, poetry, anything. Just be creative. This part can be in the response or linked to in the response as long as we can find it. *coughCreativeshowcaseboardcough*

Season 2[]

Before you get all excited about winning, you have to ENTER! Funny how that works, right? Well first I guess I should tell you how to enter, huh? Well first thing is first, you’ll need to post an RP of your character in the scenario we provide. The post must also include a link to your entry (Or entries) that would be ANYTHING! Your goal is to impress, go all out! Music, art, even games. As long as it is related to the character you are entering, any submission is fine. You can enter as many as you like, for as many characters as you like (Provided they are registered characters of Archaic Twilight.)

Season 1[]

Now the rules are pretty easy to follow, as this is more or less an anything goes contest.

1) Only officially approved characters may be entered. 2) One character and work per submission. (You may enter as many characters you wish as many times as you wish as long as the submission is different each time.*) 3) Each player may receive only one place in the contest. (As in, nobody can take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all to themselves.) 4) Only original works may be submitted. (No stealing or commissioning works)

You may have Numerous Submissions for ONE Character; such as an artwork piece of the Character and a Fiction, however they count as two individual Submissions.

Season 2[]

Like any good contest, this one has a few rules, just to make sure everyone has fun, you know~?

- Only approved characters. (That means no characters that you don’t have here at AT. We DO care how awesome your D&D character is, even if we didn’t we would pretend to, but that one isn’t posted here, so no dice.)

- Only Original works. (You could have invented a time machine, and had your character forcibly added to the Sistine chapel at gun point for all we care. But if you didn’t do it yourself then no entry for you~)

- You can’t have multiple places. (We know your entry is awesome. If you made two, doubly awesome. But that doesn’t mean you can have first and second place. You get one spot and that’s it.)

- The Kranberry Scenario (This is a tough one… Basically, we just want to make sure you don’t enter 20 things that should really form one whole, or enter one thing that is really 5 glued together. TO FORM THE MEGAZORD! If you are wondering if your entry counts as 1 or 2 etc. then contact Krimm or Chaos_Leaf.)
