Basic Information

Commonly known as the Starlit Capital, Astrum Arx is a technological mainframe and one of the largest Remnants known to exist in the Grid. Because of the severity of its size, this city has been come to be known as the central outlet for all internal goings of the universe. Various Organizations and popular groups come here as a general meeting place for the exchange of ideas or the settling of conflicts. Aside from its political usage, Astrum Arx is also holds a strong point in the media and commerce facets as people from various Remnants flock here to conduct business or merely interact. Being so advanced as it is, many of the Brands of items and general hangouts can be found here all through the various alleys and corridors winding throughout the city.

Geography

Physically, Astrum Arx dawns the appearance of a modern-day city at night complete with illuminated buildings, skyscrapers, roads and road-lights, and automobiles. Above-ground monorails circle the city's skyline transporting travelers and locals to the various districts of the city for a low amount of Crest. A few elevated highways exist, however most of the roads found in Astrum Arx are found as on-level corridors as the city has taken a onward approach to ecological transport. An important note should be taken that the city is plunged in eternal darkness, however no stars can be seen (due to the sheer amount of light pollution) although a forever full-moon looms high over head.

Central Square The very center of the entire City is Central Square; although the focal point of the square isn't a square at all. The buildings found here mostly comprise of drastically expensive hotels and costly apartments only suitable for the City's aristocrats. In the center of the square of buildings is a circular park lined with various trees illuminated by several street lamps. Side-walks wind throughout the park until they all meet at the very, very center of both the square and the park. Fittingly, at the center of the entire city is an ornate water fountain complete with a crystallized statue of the Goddess in eternal slumber, Amorous.

Shopping District A widespread phenomenon in recent years, the Shopping District has flourished with different Brands on every corner. Neon signs and bright lights illuminate the long street that is commonly referred to as the Cash-Stealer, all trying to attract anyone and everyone's attention. Various items from food, clothing, and even medical supplies can be found and purchased here so long as one has enough Crest to do so!

Media District One of the most populated areas of the City is the Media District, home to a wide assortment of Cafes, Lounges, and Restaurants. Locals flock here on a daily basis, and travelers with some time to kill wander there way here for perhaps a nice cup of coffee to ease their troubles. The Media District is, simply put, is a massive hangout for the general populous of Astrum Arx. Being such an urbanized City, Coffee Shops, Cosplay Shops, and even Bakeries are all common sights here.

Groups

Travelers A common sight to behold - even perhaps more so than the locals themselves - are the millions of travelers that pass through Astrum Arx each day alone. Being such a mainframe of interaction, Travelers flock here to get the latest news on the internal politics of the Grid, get their fix of new and crafty items, or even just stop by for a coffee in a nice air conditioned Cafe (Which is not always so easily found in other Remnants).

Locals Comprised of Travelers whom have settled down and the few who were originally created here, the Locals are those who take to Astrum Arx with little interaction with the outside Remnants. These usually comprise of the Aristocrats, the families of the suburbs, and the various cashiers or working class people of the city.

Aristocrats A group all of their own; the notorious Aristocrats of Astrum Arx. The few and the envied, the Aristocrats are the men and women who hold riches beyond belief through the colonization of other Remnants, creation of various companies, and other assorted projects scattered throughout the Grid. The Aristocrats are commonly found in their lavish apartments or mansions in the Central Square of the city, rarely fretting to leave their homes save for their occasional excursions to other manors for lunch-ins or even dinner parties.
